Algerian runner Djamel Sgjati secured the bronze medal in the men’s 800-meter race at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Saturday.
Sgjati finished third with a time of 1:41.50. The silver medal was claimed by Canadian Marco Arop, the world champion, with a time of 1:41.20.
Kenyan Emmanuel Wanyonyi won the gold medal, finishing first with a personal best time of 1:41.19.
