### Ongoing Cross-Border Shelling: Israeli Civilian Killed by Rocket from Lebanon

As tensions remain high over the Israeli response to the attack on Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan Heights, daily cross-border shelling continues between Hezbollah and the Israeli military along the Lebanese-Israeli border.

Israeli medics have reported the death of a civilian in northern Israel due to a rocket strike. Israeli Channel 12 confirmed that an Israeli civilian was killed by a rocket launched from Lebanon. The Israeli military stated that ten rockets were fired from Lebanon, with one landing in the residential area of Hageoshrim, resulting in a fatality.

Hezbollah announced today that it intercepted Israeli warplanes that breached the sound barrier over Lebanese airspace and forced them to retreat. The group also reported the death of one of its members in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Bayt Leif early Tuesday.

The Israeli military announced today that it had struck ten Hezbollah targets at seven different sites in southern Lebanon. According to the Israeli Defense Forces’ press office, the “ground and air strikes” overnight resulted in the “destruction” of several Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

On Monday evening, the Israeli military reported detecting the launch of 20 rockets towards the Finger of Galilee area, destroying the launch platform in southern Lebanon, and eliminating Hezbollah operatives. Hezbollah responded by targeting three Israeli sites.

The Israeli military’s statement on X (formerly Twitter) revealed that on Monday, its aircraft targeted Hezbollah infrastructure in the Kfar Hammam area (Hasbaya District) in southern Lebanon, from which rockets were fired towards the occupied Shebaa Farms. The statement also noted that during the past 24 hours, Israeli forces eliminated a Hezbollah cell observed operating in the Mais al-Jabal area (Marjayoun District).

The Israeli military also attacked additional Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon. The statement mentioned that earlier on Monday, approximately 20 rockets were fired from Lebanese territory and landed in an open area near the Guma Junction (in the Finger of Galilee), with no injuries reported. Shortly after detecting these launches, Israeli Air Force aircraft attacked the area of Hula (Marjayoun District) in southern Lebanon, destroying the rocket launch platform.

Following this, Hezbollah announced attacks on three Israeli military sites along the southern Lebanese border. It reported targeting the Israeli al-Abad site and its surveillance equipment, as well as targeting the surveillance equipment at the Hadb Yarin site with appropriate weapons, causing direct damage and destruction. Hezbollah also announced targeting a gathering of Israeli soldiers near the Raheb site with rocket fire, resulting in direct hits.

The anticipation of a significant escalation between the Israeli military and Hezbollah is growing following the killing of 12 Druze, most of whom were children, and the injury of others on Saturday due to a rocket landing on a soccer field in Majdal Shams in the Syrian Golan Heights. While the Israeli military has accused Hezbollah of being behind the incident and has vowed retaliation, Hezbollah has “categorically” denied any involvement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Monday to deliver a “severe response” to the attack, while international efforts continue to prevent further escalation between Israel and Hezbollah.
