ووفقا لصحيفة الجمهورية اللبنانية، قال بري، إن لبنان اعتاد على التهديدات الإسرائيلية، وإن عَلَتْ نبرتها أخيراً، مستبعداً هجوماً برياً واسعاً على لبنان، على الرغم من تهديد تل أبيب المتكرر بتغيير الوضع السائد في الشمال.
ورجّحَ بري أن يلجأ الاحتلال إلى زيادة وتيرة عملياته العسكرية لتصبح أكثر كثافة واتساعاً، لكن من دون أن تتطور إلى محاولة الاجتياح، ولفت إلى أن “الصاروخ الحوثى الذي اجتاز 2040 كلم، وأصاب تل أبيب، يجب أن يدفع نتنياهو إلى مراجعة حساباته جيداً قبل أن يقرر خوض أي مغامرة متهورة ضد لبنان”، وقال “إذا كان صاروخ واحد مصدره اليمن قد فعل فعله في الكيان الإسرائيلي، فماذا لو تدفقت الصواريخ من جوار فلسطين المحتلة؟”.
