### Destruction of Houthi Missile Underwater off Bab al-Mandab

A Saudi project to clear Yemeni landmines, “Masam,” announced today, Tuesday, that its team in the Aden and western coast sector successfully destroyed an unexploded missile found underwater in the Al-Ardi area off the Bab al-Mandab coast. The demolition operation was carried out at a depth of nine meters below the surface, marking the first time the Masam project has executed such an operation at this depth.

In a statement, the project reported that the missile was a remnant of the Houthi militia and posed a direct threat to the lives of fishermen and divers in the area. It added that the demolition operation was conducted at a depth of nine meters underwater, a first for the project at this depth.

The project explained that the Masam team received a report from fishermen about a suspicious object in the water, prompting immediate action to neutralize the danger. The team took all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the operation, protect the marine environment, and safeguard the fishermen’s property.

In a related context, the project confirmed that it carried out the destruction and demolition of 26 pieces of explosive materials in Jabal al-Nar in the Mocha district. According to the project’s website, the disposal operation conducted by the special tasks team included three anti-tank mines, as well as 23 shells and various bullets that were difficult to transport due to their danger.
