**”Musk Defends Grok 2 Amidst Offensive and Nude Images Controversy”**
Despite the criticism directed at the latest version of Grok 2, the chatbot developed by billionaire Elon Musk, the latter has staunchly defended it.
Following the release of numerous images created by Grok 2 since its launch on Wednesday, which were deemed offensive and in violation of basic legal standards, Musk, owner of the platform X, has continued to champion his “remarkable invention.”
Musk shared a tweet on X from an account that posted images generated by Grok 2, describing them as “fantastic.”
The latest version of the AI chatbot Grok, integrated into the X platform, was unveiled yesterday with a new image-generation feature. However, concerns quickly emerged as some offensive images featuring political figures and celebrities surfaced. For instance, there were images of former U.S. President Donald Trump piloting a plane towards the World Trade Center, as well as images of global singer Taylor Swift, U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez depicted nude or in lingerie.
Unlike AI programs such as ChatGPT, Grok does not refuse any request for image generation, even if it conflicts with established regulations or intellectual property rights, raising concerns among some observers.
The tech world has been experiencing an intense race among major tech companies and social media giants to develop advanced AI programs. Some of these advanced versions have indeed presented frightening examples of the progress achieved in the field.
