**Information System Failure Disrupts Airport and Public Institutions in the Netherlands**
**Aircraft Grounded at Eindhoven Airport, Which Serves Approximately Thirty International Destinations**

A mysterious information system failure in the Netherlands on Wednesday led to a shutdown of services at a regional airport and several public institutions, including the Coast Guard and military police.

Aircraft remained grounded at Eindhoven Airport (southeast), which serves around thirty international destinations.

The airport’s website stated, “Due to a network failure, air navigation is not possible at Eindhoven Airport. It is still unclear how long it will take to resolve the situation.”

Schiphol Airport, located near Amsterdam and one of Europe’s major airports, appears to be operating normally. The failure also disrupted the operations of many public institutions in the Netherlands.

In a statement, the Coast Guard said it was “unreachable” by phone or radio due to the failure and advised those seeking emergency assistance to dial 112. The contact center of the Dutch military police was also unreachable, according to authorities.

Last month, an unprecedented information system failure caused disruptions for airlines, banks, and media outlets worldwide, resulting from a flawed update to antivirus software.
