**Discussions between Sisi and Sudani Focused on Ways to Resolve Regional Crises**
In the midst of escalating regional crises, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today, Tuesday, with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, who is on an official visit to Egypt at the head of a high-level Iraqi government delegation.
**De-escalation and Reducing Tensions**
According to the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, the discussions included an exchange of views on ways to resolve the severe crises affecting the region and threatening its stability and the well-being of its people. Both leaders agreed on the necessity of de-escalating and reducing regional tensions.
In this context, Sisi and Sudani emphasized the need for the international community to exert intensive pressure to achieve a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. They stressed the urgency of ending the humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip and halting the ongoing Israeli escalation in the West Bank. They also highlighted the necessity of launching a serious political process to ensure that the Palestinian people achieve their legitimate and just right to an independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. They consider this as the sustainable path to establishing peace, security, and development in the region.
