**Trump: Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Candidacy Has Inspired Millions of Americans**
**Kennedy Announces Withdrawal and Endorses Trump in the Presidential Race**
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump welcomed the endorsement of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for his campaign against Kamala Harris.
Trump stated, “Robert’s candidacy has inspired millions of Americans, uniting people from various political backgrounds in a positive campaign rooted in the American values of his father, Robert Kennedy, and his uncle, President John F. Kennedy.”
He pledged to establish an independent presidential commission to investigate assassination attempts. “Its mission will be to disclose all remaining documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.”
He added that the commission would also conduct a comprehensive review of the assassination attempt that occurred at an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13th.
Trump had previously pledged, if re-elected, to release all documents related to the assassination of John F. Kennedy. During his previous presidency, he agreed to release some documents while keeping others classified at the request of national security agencies.
Trump described this step as a “tribute to Bobby,” referring to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who announced his support for Trump.
Trump also pledged to establish a committee to work with Robert F. Kennedy to investigate the increase in chronic health conditions and childhood diseases.
Both Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. confirmed that they share similar views on several issues during a campaign rally in Arizona organized by the former president’s campaign.
Kennedy stated in his speech that Trump assured him of his desire to “end the neoconservative control of American foreign policy” and reduce U.S. military presence abroad.
Kennedy also emphasized their shared commitment to opposing censorship, a key issue in Kennedy’s campaign, where he repeatedly criticized the Biden administration for collaborating with social media companies to combat misinformation.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign stated in a filing with a Pennsylvania court on Friday that he supports Donald Trump for president. Kennedy’s independent campaign also requested to be removed from the ballot in Pennsylvania.
Kennedy withdrew from the Arizona ballot late Thursday, less than a week after submitting far more than the required number of signatures to appear on the ballot. However, his critics questioned the validity of some signatures, and the involvement of a pro-Kennedy political action committee in gathering them could potentially violate rules against coordination between candidates and independent political groups.
A year ago, it seemed inconceivable to many that Kennedy, a member of the most famous family in Democratic politics, would align with Trump to keep a Democrat out of the White House.
Even in recent months, Kennedy accused Trump of betraying his followers, while Trump criticized Kennedy as “the most extreme left-wing candidate in the race.”
However, both campaigns have increased their compliments toward each other and engaged in behind-the-scenes discussions in recent weeks, according to those familiar with the efforts. Both campaigns spent months accusing Democrats of weaponizing the legal system in their favor. Both publicly hinted that they might be open to joining forces with a common goal of reducing the chances of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
